A GYm With a Mission

Story

The Chicago Youth Boxing Club (CYBC) is a nonprofit sports-based youth development program, established in 2006 and currently serving in the North Lawndale and Little Village communities on the southwest side of Chicago.

CYBC is dedicated to comprehensive youth engagement that focuses on holistic approaches to youth wellness and aims to provide a safe space with rigorous training in the sport of boxing as an alternative to gang violence and drug activity. Furthermore, CYBC seeks to aid our youth in building life skills, self-confidence and determination to move forward towards a positive future for themselves and their community.

CYBC strives to provide youth with ample support to expand upon discipline and goal-oriented actions necessary to succeed in their academic, extracurricular and lifelong pursuits. Our programming offers fitness training through boxing, a competitive amateur team, and opportunities through weight training. We also support members through Si Se Puede, an academic center, and periodic programs for youth with After School Matters.
