CYBC’s annual Power Gloves Tournament seeks to promote the mission of youth development through boxing and showcases Chicago’s inner-city youth determination and success in competition. The three-day tournament highlights talented and dedicated amateur boxers from Chicago and the United States. Participants included over 90 amateur youth and elite boxers in varying weight classes.

As our largest annual fundraiser, CYBC’s Power Gloves tournament directly benefits Chicago Youth Boxing Club’s youth development programming. This is our main event of the year, and it is our most visible opportunity to demonstrate the skills and ambitions of our youth boxers and the impact CYBC has had on the community. Through our fundraising, the cost of programming has subsided, decreasing the cost of a member from $200 to $25 per month.

Each tournament is a new opportunity to bring the community together and provide a platform of success for our boxers. We look forward to sharing this competition and the dreams and accomplishments made by our members.
